To Do around Noosa

If sunburn or showers ...

Local tourist attractions verge on the unique. Noosa has its own 'Big Shell' with a comprehensive display of shells . There's 'The House of Bottles' with its own resident glass-blower, and miles upon miles of National Park rainforest to explore.

The hinterland townships of Pomona, Kin Kin, Cooran, Boreen Point, Cooroy and neighbouring Eumundi, shelter a wealth of old Queensland architecture, history and entertainment with restaurants and old pubs, arts and crafts shops and historical museums.

If sunburn or showers turn you away from the beach, the many other delights and attractions of the Noosa Shire are close by.

Along the river front, around Laguna Bay and the shores of Noosa National Park into Sunshine Beach, you have dozens of beaches to choose from, plus 432 hectares of National Park rainforest, wallum heathlands, shrublands and grasslands to explore on foot.

Several local riding schools offer trail rides and beachside, lakeside and bush treks on horseback. the less adventurous can hire a moke, aeroplane, pushbike, seaplane, tandem, moped or a four person bike complete with steering wheel and a'fringe on top'.
